SSL Data Encryption
All data submitted to Bitpalast® using our web forms is encrypted. Any files uploaded to our server are also
encrypted. Data transferred on an encrypted connection such as this cannot be eavesdropped, read, or manipulated by
third parties.
The yellow padlock icon in the bottom right corner of your web browser tells you when an encrypted connection has
been established. Further, our trust center marks every SSL-protected page with a date seal. Click on the seal to confirm that the SSL certificate
Bitpalast® uses for encryption is valid.
My data is top-secret. Can I trust Bitpalast®?
Our company has been in the market since 1990 and our reputation is second to none. From day one we have worked
for businesses with high security and reliability requirements and still do, such as Berliner Volksbank, one of
Germany's largest mutual banks. It is inconceivable that we would ruin our excellent reputation by a breach in data
security. If banks trust us, then so can you! Bitpalast® is only interested in your data for processing it in
accordance with your order.
What happens to my data after submission
to Bitpalast®?
Bitpalast® only collects the data necessary for business operations. Your data is stored on computer systems only
a few employees can access. For example, just two employees have access to our file decryption service. Most of the
computers are located in high-security data centers in London and Frankfurt. As a matter of course, all systems are
password-protected.
Personal information
Bitpalast® collects personal information while you surf our website. Personal information comprises all
personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that
is not otherwise publicly available.
Bitpalast® automatically records information from your browser in our server logs, including your IP address.
However, we do not track visitors by name or address, nor do we log who has visited specific pages and who has not.
The log file information is a common technology used by most websites and is mainly used to determine the number of
visitors to specific pages and to improve our services.
Tell-a-friend function
For marketing purposes we store which page has been referred from which e-mail sender's address to which e-mail
recipient's address, but we do not store the content of the message sent to the recipient along with the referral.
Palace's dispatch
We collect your e-mail address, salutation, and your name that you enter when you subscribe to the palace's
dispatch and use this data to personalize the newsletter. When you cancel your subscription, this data will be
removed from our mailing list.
Contact form
We collect the data you enter into the contact form and save it for processing your contact request and possible
future contacts between you and us.
Order forms
All data you enter into our order forms will be saved by us for the purpose of order fulfillment.
Payment processing forms
For online payments, Bitpalast® cooperates with "PayPal" (an
affiliate of eBay). Data stored at PayPal, such as your credit card number, is not forwarded to Bitpalast® and is
not stored by Bitpalast®.
Domain name search
Bitpalast® stores all domain name searches done on our website to prevent abuse of this service and for future
implementation of service enhancements.
Combining data from different sources
Bitpalast® may combine information about you with information we receive from business partners or other
companies.
However, project content data (such as files from a software development project or from data decryption
services) will never be linked to you in this manner.
Does Bitpalast® forward data to third parties?
Bitpalast® does not sell, rent, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated
businesses except to provide services you have requested, or if we have your express permission to do so or need to
share information required by law.
Does Bitpalast® store cookies on my computer?
At the moment, Bitpalast® neither sets nor reads cookies on your computer. Should this change in the future, we
will provide corresponding information on this page.
Updates of this privacy policy
Bitpalast® may update this policy and will inform you about changes by placing a notice on our site.
